This mug is just the right size for a coffee. A tulip “V” shape and made with a desire for these objects to have character and personality - which I think comes from the throwing rings, organic curved wall and jaunty handle. The lip subtly flares, sitting comfortably in the mouth when sipping. They’re mugs with character, but are also a pleasure to drink from.
Inspired by my trip to Japan earlier this year.
Glazed in a soft dolomite, the effect is an off white minimalistic feel which looks gorgeous against a dark coffee.
Wheel thrown using white stoneware clay. Glazed in an oxidation kiln.
