Tulip Mug (celadon squiggle)
This mug is just the right size for a coffee.
An organic tulip “V” shape and made with a desire for these mugs to have character and personality - which I think comes from the throwing rings, organic curved wall and jaunty handle. The lip subtly flares, sitting comfortably in the lips when drinking from. They’re mugs with character, but are also a pleasure to drink from.
Inspired by my trip to Japan earlier this year.
Glazed in a light celadon blue which breaks into pale blues in places and occasional orange accents round the rim. Expressively marked with Japanese blue pigment, capturing a sense of free movement in contrast to the stoic character of a fired ceramic object.
Note: the blue lines are different on every mug.
Wheel thrown using white stoneware clay. Glazed in an oxidation kiln.
Approx Dimensions - H: 7.5cm x W:10cmApprox Volume - 300ml
As each is individually made, there will be some variation in form, size and glaze. This also means the piece you receive will be totally unique.
Dishwasher friendly, but hand washing is always advisable with handmade ceramics.
