Tulip Mug (cobalt apples)

£42.00

This mug is just the right size for a coffee. A tulip “V” shape and made with a desire for these mugs to have character and personality - which I think comes from the throwing rings, organic curved wall and jaunty handle. The lip subtly flares, sitting comfortably in the lips when drinking from. They’re mugs with character, but are also a pleasure to drink from.

Inspired by my trip to Japan earlier this year.

With a simple clear glaze, the off-white stoneware hue of the clay underneath shows through. Decoration made by expressive cobalt brushstrokes, rounded to form dots, or cobalt apples as I like to think of them.

  • Wheel thrown using white stoneware clay. Glazed in an oxidation kiln.

  • Approx Dimensions - H: 7.5cm x W:10cm

  • Approx Volume - 300ml

  • As each is individually made, there may be some variation in form, size and glaze. This also means the piece you receive will be totally unique.

  • Dishwasher friendly, but hand washing is always advisable with handmade ceramics.
